

Art After School
ARTS’ free after school classes introduce children to various forms of art while encouraging creative thinking in a fun and safe environment. Taught by local artists, musicians, and educators, classes are designed to build self-confidence while contributing to artistic skills, leadership development, and better academic performance.
About the Program
Enrollment Requirements
Students grades 1st- 12th may register for Art After School classes. The program is open to public, private, and home-schooled students, so that every child has an opportunity to explore art. Participating schools only allow students from their school to attend classes on their campus. ARTS campuses in Schulenburg and Fayetteville, allow students from all area schools. Art After School classes are always offered at no cost to parents or schools; no registration fee is required. This program is very popular, so early enrollment is advised.
Class Topics
Art After School programs offer different art styles and subjects for your child to explore, such as: acrylic painting, watercolor painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, digital art, fiber and needle felting, storybook art, sensory and tactile projects, and principles of art and design.
Locations
Art After School is held weekly during the school year in the following locations: Fayetteville, Flatonia, La Grange, Round Top- Carmine, Schulenburg, Smithville, Navasota, Waelder, Weimar, and Moulton.

Arts for Rural Texas (ARTS) is committed to offering Art After School programming at no cost to families or schools. However, it costs ARTS an average of $100 per student each semester to offer high quality arts enrichment programming. Please consider supporting our program.
